Features of Silica Hot Repair and Mortar

Silica hot repair and mortar is a type of monolithic material. Its main ingredient is SiO2. It is made of special clinker, binders and additives.

Its main features include:

1) Excellent high temperature resistance and higher refractoriness and refractoriness under load over silica brick

2) Good corrosion resistance to glass and alkalis

3) Dense structure, low porosity, good thermal shock resistance and good volume stability at high temperature

4) No burst or chipping during hot repair

5) It is plastic mortar at room temperature and can be made into any shape. It becomes rigid after heated and bonded with bricks firmly. 

 

Silica hot repair and mortar is used for the hot repair of the silica brick crown of glass furnaces.
