How to Transport Refractory Bricks

Generally the horizontal transportation tools for refractory bricks include trains, trucks, counterbalanced forklift trucks, light rail cars and bridge cranes.

The train is mainly used to transport bricks from the manufacturer to the construction site (or construction side warehouse). It is characterized by high efficiency, low cost and smooth transportation. When loading and unloading, it requires the aid of forklifts or cranes.

 

The truck is mainly used to deliver bricks to the construction site from the warehouse. In less developed regions of rail transport, it is the main means for refractory brick transportation.

 

A counterbalanced forklift truck is multifunctional machinery equipment with loading, unloading and transportation in one set. In most cases, it is used for loading and unloading bricks from trucks and short-range transportation. But it has higher requirements on the floor or road conditions.

 

A light rail car is one commonly used transport machine in the larger warehouse and construction site. It can transport both refractory bricks and bulk materials. In the horizontal and vertical combined transportation, it can directly enter the winding tower and the furnace without once loading and unloading. The driveway for light rail cars is built with 9-12kg/m light rails. Roundabouts and forked roads are set to meet the requirements of driving cycle and eliminate the effect of the traveling of heavy vehicles and light rail vehicles on each other. When laying light rails, select the line slope carefully.
